inMado is led by Jarosław Kowalski, who has more than 30 years of experience in the ICT industry across Central & Eastern Europe and EMEA.
His focus today is standardisation and industry development for AI, cloud and data spaces. He leads Gaia-X Hub Poland at the Polish Chamber of Information Technology and Telecommunications (PIIT), supports AI and data standardisation in Technical Committee 182 of the Polish Committee for Standardization (PKN), and works with organisations including Gaia-X AISBL, the International Data Spaces Association (IDSA) and Fraunhofer ISST.
Before this, he held leadership roles at Novell (General Manager, Poland), Pearson (Digital Products Delivery Director, Europe, Africa & Asia) and Infor IT. He founded and chaired the TechEd Committee at PIIT and co-founded the Coalition for Open Standards. He was awarded the Bronze Cross of Merit by the President of Poland.
Open source and open standards have been central to Jarosław's career. At Novell he led the company's SUSE Linux business in Poland, launched the "Schools with Linux" programme that brought Linux to more than 200 schools, and supported Polish localisation of Linux and OpenOffice.org. He co-founded the Coalition for Open Standards (KROS) and the Professional Linux Association (SLP), and helped make open standards, open source and net neutrality priorities in Poland's "ePoland 2020" government strategy. Today he brings the same principles to European data spaces, where openness is the basis of interoperability and digital sovereignty.
